How to eat at a conveyor-belt sushi place
Take what passes, or order fresh from the screen. The plate colours are the price, and the staff count them at the end.
- 1Sit down. There's usually a hot-water tap and a tub of green-tea powder at your seat — spoon some powder into the cup, fill with hot water.
- 2Take any plate you like off the moving belt as it passes.
- 3Or order fresh from the touch screen — tap what you want and it arrives on an express lane or a tray to your spot, made to order.
- 4Stack your empty plates at your seat. When you're done, press the call button; staff count the plates to total your bill.
Heads up. Don't put a plate back on the belt once you've taken it. And the bill is by plate count — keep your stack at your seat for the staff to tally.
Good to know
- Plate colour = price. There's a chart at the table showing what each colour costs.
- Soy sauce, pickled ginger, and wasabi are already on the table.
